C3010 CORGI TOYS NO.222 RENAULT FLORIDE CODE 3 YELLOW SOLD
Here we have a Corgi Toys No.222 Renault Floride restored to a very high standard. These models were the first to have 'GLIDAMATIC' spring suspension and other innovative features which would become standard on all future Corgi Toys models. Corgi Toys produced the model in two colours green and metallic red. I always thought yellow would be a good colour and therefore decided to do a code 3 restoration. The model has been stripped down to bare metal, polished, primed and resprayed with three coats of yellow gloss paint. Baseplate was stripped also down to bare metal, primed and resprayed in grey as originals. Hubs were polished and new tyres and window unit fitted. Reassembled with new rivets. A stunning model in an unusual colour for your collection.
