DDR24 RESTORED DINKY TOYS NO.40e STANDARD VANGUARD SOLD
Lovely example of the popular Dinky Toys No.40e Standard Vanguard Saloon. This is an early version with the open rear wheel arches which dates it between 1948-1950 This model has been restored to a very high standard and finished in a Tan colour. Model has been stripped down to bare metal, polished , primed and resprayed with three gloss coats. Baseplate has also been stripped down to bare metal, primed and resprayed. One axle had to be replaced and new tyres have been fitted as two were missing and the other two were cracked and split. Reassembled with new rivets.
